This program was one of our largest classes last year. It produced over 36 state qualifying athletes and included numerous state champions and even a state record. This class will focus on the needs of the track athlete. A great deal of the work is teaching athletes how to properly come out of starting blocks. Proper knee drive and foot strike along with just knowing the proper way to set up starting blocks. Hurdlers can also benefit from this as well. Special hurdling drills will be performed to teach proper hurdling techniques. Last years class also worked with long jumpers and pole vaulters as well. Core and posture along with flexibility will be addressed on a daily basis. This is a great class for boys and girls middle school through college age. Bill was an ALL American College Decathlete and has been training with House of Speed for over 5 years working with young athletes. His success and results he has had over the years is second to none.
You may sign up for any amount of sessions you like. We do ask that you try and choose 1 session that best fits your schedule. You may join at any time. Registration is limited due to the relationship we like to have with our athletes. Max of 8 per group this year. We want them to have the attention they deserve. Lincoln NE - Learn to Run (March-April 2014)
1st March 2014 | NE, Lincoln
House of Speed Lincoln
This is the best place to start your son and daughter to learn the basics of running. At this camp we will teach the kids balance, agility, and proper running form. We will video the running form of each participant and review this with them and their parents to show areas of strength and areas needing improvement. This could well be the first time anyone has ever taught them how to run and serves as a strong foundation for all sports.
Dates: Saturday mornings from 11-12 March 1,8,15,22, April 5, 19, 26 Ages: 8-12 Cost: $129
This will be the second spring break camp we have offered. The first provided a lot of smiles, sweat, and accomplishments for the kids that came. Although the Speed Camp is for kids from 8-12, this is open to moms and dads as well at no charge. That’s right, Free!! What a fun way to spend a few days during the week of March 10-14 working out with your kids and “talking a little trash” with them on 40 times. Yep, that’s right, moms and dads you are welcome too (although I should insert my “soreness” alert here). We have had several families in the past year who have trained together. The kids love it, moms and dads …….. well, you know, again the “soreness” disclaimer. I would invite you to consider registering soon and get this fun and beneficial camp on your family schedule.
Dates: March 10-14 from 10-11 am at Abbott Sports Complex Ages: 8-12 Cost: $79 ($69 each for families of 2 or more))

Would you like your camper to experience the intensity of athletic training that is required in the off season to get prepared for the regular season? Are you interested in showing your child the type of high level training that is necessary to drive his or her team into post season play? If so, The House of Speed can show you the way, but with a new twist this year – your son or daughter can also experience all the great Camp Fitch activities described above! Our training program focuses on the one quality athletes’ need most regardless of sport, and that is – SPEED! House of Speed’s philosophy is based on the principles used by Don Beebe during his nine year, record setting career in the NFL. Morals, values, work ethic and a never-say-die attitude helped Don compete and succeed in the NFL. House of Speed wants to instill the same passion into a new generation of athletes by motivating and building character. Through the use of certified trainers, specialized equipment and our state of the art training program, athletes will learn:
Techniques to improve running form and speed
Skills to improve hand and feet quickness
Jumping techniques to enhance explosiveness
Methods to improve balance, coordination, and injury prevention
Join us for a fun and challenging speed camp at CAMPFITCH! Athletes ages 8 – 14 years old and from all sports are welcome. As the sports world has become more competitive, speed and agility have become very important qualities for athletes to possess. House of Speed’s experienced instructors will help you identify problems in your running form that are preventing you from reaching your top potential running speed. With a focus on footwork, balance, and explosive drills, we can help an athlete become quicker and more agile. Improvements made in these areas will result in improved performance in your particular sport. Don’t miss this opportunity to increase your speed, and learn the skills needed to become a better athlete at a great camp on a great lake! Like Camp Fitch’s other sports camps, House of Speed campers will also have opportunities throughout the day for traditional camp activities.
House of Speed provides the best available sport-specific performance training. House of Speed is continuously developing and refining the most current training techniques, enabling athletes to increase their overall speed, strength, explosiveness, agility and sport-specific ability.
